About
Modern Papel Picado
My name is Miriam Bahena-Cardona Bisby, I offer modern papel picado designs. Wátchle! Designs is named after the slang "Wátchale!" meaning, watch out! It's not a 'real' Spanish word but is often spoken by my grandfather, who had me convinced it was a real word for years. Papel picado is the art form of paper cutting which you may have seen via banners for weddings, Day of the Dead, and so on. They are traditionally made out of colorful tissue paper. I create my paper products using card stock making them durable additions to your home or event using my art background. My formal art page can be found at MiriamBisby.com. All items are made by me and made to order, no mass production of items. Handmade to order.
